BANGALORE: A 25-year-old IBM employee was found murdered in his house on Saturday night in Hosahalli in Vijayanagar. Vijayanagar police said Manoj’s laptop, gold ornaments, a Hyundai Santro car and a two-wheeler have been found missing. Police also suspect that he was murdered for gain, but, are also investigating if any of his friends had plotted the murder.

“His father claims that his friends used to gamble at his house. They even borrowed money from him as they assumed that he was on a well-paid job,” said a police official from Vijayanagar.

Manoj had completed his BSc from a college in Holenarsipura and MBA through distance education. He was living alone in Vijayanagar, while his father used to frequently visit him, after work. Manoj’s mother Rukminiamma is a housewife and stays
