The state government would move the Supreme Court against the high court order quashing the appointment of DG&IGP Shankar Bidari.
On Monday, chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda and home minister R Ashoka said the state would file an appeal in the Supreme Court.
The government appointed Bidari as DG&IGP by following due procedures and the government would defend its action before the Supreme Court, added Gowda.
