Airport division police are on the lookout for a UP-based travel agent who allegedly sold the same e-ticket of a Kingfisher flight—that had to leave Bangalore on Sunday—to different parties.

The ticket was booked for three seats. ACP (airport sub-division) Gacchinakatti PS said three students from Bihar—Nitish Kumar, 19; Vikas Kumar, 20; and Samshed Labo Singh, 19—had booked the flight tickets through a UP-based travel agent, identified as Kunal.

At the airport on Sunday, the trio produced the e-ticket, which was booked in the name of KN Deepak and two others. The staff of Kingfisher gave boarding passes to the students without verifying their identities.

After some time, another set of three persons came to the airport and produced the same e-ticket. It was then that the airline staff realised that boarding passes had already been issued against the e-ticket.

The police were informed, and took the students into custody. The students told police they had not noticed that the ticket did not have their names.
