The Corps of Detectives (CoD) will take blood and hair samples from four suspects, including the two sons of Dhanraj Ranka, to get new leads for the investigation into the 53-year-old businessman’s murder in January last year.

Vikram Ranka said that the CoD police have made the suspects fill forms for a DNA test at Victoria Hospital on Wednesday.

The CoD police made four of them –Vikram Ranka, his brother Kiran Ranka, Kurban Hussein and Dilip Chopra (brother-in-law of the two brothers) – fill forms for the test.
“They have asked us to come and give blood and hair samples after a few days,'' said Vikram.

Dhanraj Ranka was found murdered with multiple head injuries and severed genitals at his shop on Benki Nawab Street in SJ Park. Police arrested his employee Mallesh (23) for allegedly murdering Ranka.

The postmortem report stated that he had succumbed to shock and brain hemorrhage. Dhanraj was hit with a sharp object on the head, it had further revealed.
