The Congress will hold a Raj Bhavan Chalo on Monday to press for its demand to remove the BJP government. Congress leaders and workers will hold a padayatra from Freedom Park to Raj Bhavan and submit a memorandum to governor HR Bharadwaj.

Speaking to the media, state Congress president G Parameshwara said: “Corruption has reached its peak and
people are fed up of this corrupt government. The state government has failed. We will file a complaint before governor HR Bharadwaj. Under the leadership of AICC general secretary and Karnataka Congress in-charge Madhusudhan Mistry,” he added.

“All our MLAs, AICC leaders and senior leaders and workers will participate in the padayatra. We will put pressure on the BJP government,” he said.

“Also, the Congress plans to hold a three-month protest against the misrule of the BJP. This movement will be held across the state. We will finalise the dates of protest,” added Prameshwara.

“The people are upset with this BJP government as it has failed to address the problems of the common man. Developmental works are not taking place in any of the districts.

On the issues of illegal mining, the CEC has given its recommendations, but the state government slept on the issue. It is still hesitating to take action,” he said.
