SM Jamdar has been made the new principal secretary of home department. He succeeds KH Shivakumar who has been made principal secretary, urban development.

Within minutes of the Supreme Court verdict quashing the disqualification 11 BJP and five independent MLAs, chief minister BS Yeddyurappa transferred 51 IAS officers, including additional chief secretary Subir Hari Singh and home secretary KM Shivakumar.
SM Jamdar has been made the new principal secretary of home department. He succeeds KH Shivakumar who has been made principal secretary, urban development.
Subir Hari Singh is the chairman Bangalore Metropolitan Region Development Authority with additional charge of Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation.
