Call centre employee commits suicide in Bangalore

No death note was found and police were trying to ascertain the motive of Naveen’s suicide.

A 25-year-old call centre employee  and another person committed suicide in separate incidents, police said.

Call centre worker Naveen was found hanging in his bedroom at Sir MV Nagar in Ramamurthy Nagar on Tuesday. Police said he was an employee of AEIS call centre.

N Mahesh, police inspector of Ramamurthy Nagar, said that the incident came to light on Wednesday morning when his mother knocked on his door. Not getting any response she told her other sons, who later broke open the door. The reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained.

Naveen was staying with his two brothers Narendra and Naresh, and his grandmother, in the city. His mother Sulochana, has been employeed in London, while his father Ilangovan was in Chennai.
Police said Naveen’s grandmother was admitted in Narayana Hrudayalaya and his mother had arrived in Bangalore on Sunday. He was with his mother till 11 pm on Tuesday. The next morning, he was found hanging.

The body was handed over to the family members after a post-mortem examination.  The deceased had not left a death note, police said.

“We questioned his brothers and mother. They said he was leading a happy life,” police said.

In another incident, a 35-year-old man allegedly committed suicide at his house on Siddaiah Road in Wilson Garden on Tuesday night. Police said the man, Srinivas, was depressed over his wife leaving him.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased, a daily wager, was an alcoholic. Police said his wife left for her parents’ house following a quarrel with Srinivas over his drinking habit.
