The police have collected the blood samples of Tamar Farha Abraham, 28, who was murdered by her lover, to conduct a DNA analysis to confirm her identity. The police collected samples during the post-mortem, which was conducted in Rarajeshwari Medical College, Mysore Road, on Saturday.

T Mahadev, Harohalli circle inspector and investigative officer of the case, said the post-mortem was conducted after seeking permission from the consulate of the Israel Embassy.

Farha was killed by her lover Lokesh Chandra Das on April 15. The incident came to light 19 days after she was murdered. Her body was found in a freezer. Since then, the police have kept the body in Rajarajeshwari Medical College and had sought permission from Israeli authorities to conduct the post-mortem.

Doctors collected blood and organ samples for the test. The samples will be sent to the DNA wing of the FSL for the test. An officer said the blood sample of Farha’s mother, Ruth Abraham, will reach the city soon.

Also, the victim’s parents will reach Bangalore to receive the body only after the DNA test confirms that the deceased is Farha.

“We will send the DNA report to the Israeli consulate as soon as possible,” an investigative officer said.

The police have also collected Farha’s fingerprints and sent it to the Israel foreigner section of the Foreigner Regional Registration Office (FRRO) Bangalore, for identification.
