Bangalore police go all out to pull the plug on Ravi Poojari

Following the arrest of three associates of Ravi Poojari on Monday, the city police are now trying to crack down on all his accomplices to put an end to his menace. Recently, Poojari’s associates had opened fired at the Mantri Developers office on Lavelle Road due to some business rivalry.

On October 9, Poojari and his gang targeted Jayanagar Soms Builders and Developers by trying to extort a huge sum from them.

The owner of the company, Somashekar immediately filed a complaint and a case was registered on October 10 at the Adugodi police station.

The complaint said that Saravanaprasad, owner of Innovative Film City, who was one of Somashekar’s business partners, must have approached Poojari, as their relationship had turned sour.

The city police arrested three men in this connection on October 18, who were later identified as Shiv Kumar, M Rajan and Govindraju, all residents of JP Nagar.

Police found that Shiv Kumar, who is also involved in a double murder case, was in touch with Satish, Dinesh Shetty, Prashanth Shetty and Praveen Karlo all accomplices of Poojari, whom he had met at the Bangalore central prison and the Bellary prison.

He also revealed that these people were in constant touch with the underworld don from the prison.
