Bangalore police commissioner tells his men to be proactive

Mirji asked the officers not to wait for complaints to be filed, but to be proactive. He said that the inspectors and ACPs should not neglect small cases.

City police commissioner BG Jyothi Prakash Mirji held a meeting with deputy commissioners of police (DCPs) and assistant commissioners of police (ACPs) on Friday.

Mirji asked the officers not to wait for complaints to be filed, but to be proactive. He said that the inspectors and ACPs should not neglect small cases. 

The police commissioner said people from far off places should not have to visit his Infantry Road office, as work should get done at the local police stations. The commissioner had on Tuesday asked DCPs and ACPs to make themselves available to the public between 4.30 pm and 6 pm every day.
