Bangalore criminal killed by friend, aides

A youth who had taken to crime was killed on Saturday night after his friends stabbed him over a dispute that took place while gambling.

The deceased Rajesha was a resident of Ambedkar Slum. He was involved in a brawl with his friend Abeel at 10.30pm while gambling. Rajesha assaulted Abeel and then went his way. After some time, an enraged Abeel, accompanied by his friends Mani, Santosh and others, apprehended Rajesha and took him to an open space and they stabbed Rajesha’s hand, neck and stomach. One stab damaged his kidney.

After 45 minutes, a passer-by heard Rajesha’s cries. He informed the police and shifted Rajesha to Victoria Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

The police said Rajesha and his friends were involved in dacoity, pick-pocketing and robberies in different police station limits in the
city.

Rajesha was sent behind bars in connection to a dacoity case in Kengeri police limits in 2010 and he was released on bail later on.

He and his sister were living with their grandmother as their mother had passed away in their childhood and their father had left them soon after.

Injured student succumbs

An engineering student who met with an accident in the city on Wednesday died undergoing treatment on Sunday. The deceased, Prakash Deep, was a native of Patna. The accident took place when he was crossing a road in Electronics City.
On Hosur Road, he jumped the median and proceeded to cross the road, unmindful of a school van that was coming.

The van hit him and he sustained serious injuries. Prakash was taken to Sagar Apollo Hospital, where he breathed his last on Sunday morning.

The police said Prakash was crossing the road to meet his friend, who was waiting for him in his car. He was in second year of BE at PES School of Engineering, Electronics City. The van that hit him belongs to Sadguru Sainath School. The driver was arrested and produced in the court. The body was handed over to his family after postmortem.
