Australian university signs MoUs with firms

Australia’s La Trobe University signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with three leading Indian companies and institution this week.

The MoUs were signed with technology firm HCL and electric vehicle manufacturer Mahindra Reva, both in Bangalore, and Rajasthan’s Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani.

On his first official visit to India, vice-chancellor and president of La Trobe University, John Dewar, said the MoUs would help force strategic alliances with India. “We are committed to our relationship with India and look forward to building increasingly strong research and educational collaborations with Indian companies and institutions,” he said.
