Chain-snatchers struck at five places on Monday morning. In the first incident, BK Mayura, 64, was robbed of her gold chain in Sahakaranagar. In her complaint, she said a miscreant sneaked from behind, snatched her chain and fled on a motorcycle being driven by his accomplice. She told police that the chain was worth Rs1 lakh.

In another incident, Hemalatha, a resident of Bhuvaneshwarinagar, filed a complaint with Amruthahalli police. At 7.15 am, when she was walking towards her home, two miscreants on a motorcycle came from behind and the pillion rider snatched her gold chain. She told police that the chain was worth Rs80,000.

In Yelahanka New Town, Saraswathi, a resident of the area, filed a complaint with Yelahanka New Town police. She stated that at 7.30 am, she had gone for morning walk near the BBMP park and when she was returning home, two miscreants came on a motorcycle from behind and the pillion rider snatched her gold chain. She told police the chain weighed 85 grams.

In yet another incident Veena, a resident of Srinidhi Layout, filed a complaint with Subramanyapura police. She stated that she was ill and was on the way to a hospital near her house. At 10.45 am, two miscreants came on a motorcycle from behind and the pillion rider snatched her gold chain. She told police that the chain weighed 60 grams.

In the same police station limits, in RBI Layout, at 11 am, two motorcycle-borne miscreants snatched the gold chain of Sathyabhama. She told police she was on the way to a shop. The gold chain weighed 45 grams.
