Her parents, Susheela and Muniswamy, rushed out of their house on hearing a loud thud and found their only child lying in a pool of blood. Shalini was rushed to Victoria Hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
Shalini, a student of St Theresa’s School in Chamrajpet, had been promoted to class eight from seven. JJ Nagar police registered a case and are investigating.
