State-level I-Day function in Bhuj

Chief minister Narendra Modi will unfurl the national flag on the occasion of Independence Day at Kutch on Thursday.

He will also visit the Dharmashala border and interact with jawans of Border Security Force. On Wednesday, the eve of Independence Day, governor Dr Kamla will meet around 400 prominent citizens at the ‘At Home’ programme. A series of other events are also slated for the day.

Apart from flag hoisting and march-past, dog-show, horse-show, Russian PT, motorbike stunt, gymnastics, among other events have been organised on Independence Day. A series of cultural programmes have also been organised in which 131 renowned artists will take part.

Dedication and foundation stone laying ceremonies of 46 projects involving expenditure of Rs305 crore will be performed by the CM.
