The only real surprises in the post-Christmas lineup is the elimination of Ajax. The ousting of Benfica is also surprising. RB Leipzig is the only real outsider - ranked 43 by UEFA - who make it to the knockout stage.
While title holders Liverpool clearly have it in them to win this competition again, they have tough competition from teams like Barcelona who are still considered to be the greatest club footballer of all time.
Juventus have the tools to beat anyone while Paris Saint-Germain is looking in good shape, provided Neymar and Kylian Mbappe stay fit and functional.
