Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) organised annual mass marriage programme for poor tribals and dalit families in WB’s Jhargram district. Mass marriage was organised by Tribeni Yuba Janakalyan Organization with an aim of stopping women trafficking. This is the 12th year of the programme, where around 12 couples from poor families got married. Since 2008, 1,237 couples have tied the knot. This marriage programme was started to stop child marriage, to control women trafficking and torture. This organisation also provides cycle, bed, household items, utensils, ornaments, and money to every couple.
