Indian Navy Day 2018: Celebration of strength and bravery of 'Guardians of Sea'

Indian maritime forces celebrated Navy Day on 4 December. The day marks the impeccable role of the naval branch of the Indian Armed Forces in the 1971 India-Pakistan War. The Indian Navy plays an important role in securing the marine borders of the country as well as enhancing the international relations of India through the seaport.
