1. Several events planned throughout the day

The Department of Tourism organised a series of events where participants in cycling, shikara race, kayaking and canoeing competitions had fun, while the Kashmiri anthem was also arranged to be played at the Dal Lake to entertain the guests.
2. High hopes among people involved with tourism sector

The main objective of the event was to attract tourists to the Kashmir valley once again and gradually compensate for the losses suffered during the COVID-19 period. Other administration officials, including Tourism Secretary Sarmat Hafeez, attended the function, while people from the tourism sector were also invited.
3. Water sports and 'Shikara Race'

Water sports and the ''Shikara race''' had been organized in Dal Lake by Tourism Department on World Tourism Day, in Srinagar on Sunday.
4. Tourists expected to flood valley in autumn, winter

Private tour and travel agent Hafeez Shala, who arrived at the event, is expecting that the valley will soon be buzzing with tourists from everywhere across India.
He said that the government has done a lot of work, so in the upcoming time, tourists will definitely come here to enjoy the autumn and winter seasons.
5. 'Paradise on Earth'

Tourism Secondary Sarmat Hafeez said that the aim of organising such a large-scale event on World Tourism Day was to give a message to the tourists of the country and the world that the Kashmir valley, famous as a 'Paradise on Earth', is completely safe, and is eager to welcome its guests.
