Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh Tuesday said the number of terrorists killed in the air strike by Indian Air Force on the training camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Pakistan's Balakot would be known "today or tomorrow".
He claimed that National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO) system had informed about presence of around 300 active mobile phones at the site before the air strike by India.

Charging the opposition of doing politics over the strike, the Home Minister suggested the Congress to go to Pakistan and count the bodies if they want to know how many terrorists were killed.

"Some leaders of the other political parties are asking how many terrorists were killed in the IAF strike. Today or tomorrow, it will be known. Pakistan and their leaders' heart know how many were killed," Singh said while addressing the public after inaugurating a border project by the BSF.

He took a dig at the opposition for questioning the number of terrorists killed and said the parties were up to, "kitne mare, kitne mare?" (how many died?) "Should our Air Force go and count the bodies after the attack -- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...? What is this joke?" he questioned.

"The NTRO, which has an authentic system, said that 300 mobile phones were active (at the Balakot site). Were these mobile phones used by the trees? Now will you (opposition) not believe the NTRO also?" Singh said.

He said politics should not be done only to form government, but it should be done to build the country.

"If my Congress friends feel that the numbers should be informed to them, then I would like to say that it you want to go to Pakistan, then go, count and ask people there that how many were killed by our Air Force jawans," Singh said.

Punjab minister and Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu said, "300 terrorist dead, Yes or No? What was the purpose then? Were you uprooting terrorist or trees? Was it an election gimmick? Deceit possesses our land in guise of fighting a foreign enemy. Stop politicising the Army, it is as sacred as the State," he said, adding "Oonchi Dukaan, Pheeka Pakwan" (big talk, no delivery).

He said, "Skimmed milk masquerades as cream, things are seldom as they seem." He also put out a video of claims made by people in Pakistan about the damage caused by India's air strike.
"Meet such people whose real faces are hidden behind and their false faces are seen," he said, in an apparent dig at the BJP leadership.
Earlier, senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh had questioned the air strike in Pakistan and demanded proof.

PM Modi and BJP President Amit Shah in the last few days have repeatedly claimed that the opposition's reactions post Pulwama have made Pakistan smile. In a way they have helped Pakistan, said the senior BJP leaders.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi warned that last week's air strike in Pakistan won't be India's last such action against terrorism emanating from the neighbouring country, as he asked the Opposition not to malign India's armed forces and desist from giving statements which may hog limelight in the Pakistani media.
“Bharat ke neta bayanbazi karte hain wo Pakistan ke akhbaro ki headline banti hai, Pakistan parliament mein charcha ho rahi hai. Aap aisi baat bologe jispe Pak taali bajaye? Desh ki sena ne himmat dikhayi aur main intezaar lamba nahi kar sakta. Chun chun ke hisaab lena meri fitrat hai [India's leaders give out statements that become headlines in Pakistani newspapers and are discussed in Pakistan's parliament. Will you utter such words that draw applause in Pakistan? Our forces have shown valour, I can't wait for more. Picking and choosing each one to settle accounts is in my nature],” he said.

Amit Shah too has severely criticised opposition's reaction. Hessaid, "Mamata Banerjee is asking for proof, Rahul Gandhi is saying it's being politicised, Akhilesh is demanding for inquiry. They should be ashamed of their statements which is bringing a smile on the face of Pakistan. I know they do not have calibre as much as Modi ji have, but if they cannot support it, they should at least learn to remain silent."

Here we see some of the cases where prominent Pakistani political parties and media networks have used opposition's words to further their anti- India agenda

Hitting out at the BJP for allegedly politicising the air strike in Pakistan, the Trinamool Congress Tuesday said it was trying to replace the Ashoka emblem on the uniform of armed forces with party logo.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) should stop taking credit for the preemptive strike on terror camps in Pakistan as armed forces belong to India, not to the saffron party, Trinamool Congress national spokesperson Derek O'Brien said.

"The BJP is shamelessly trying to replace the Ashok Stambh (emblem) on the armed forces' uniform, with their party logo. Not a single opposition leader has politicised the airstrike, it was just the BJP who did it.
"The armed forces are India's pride. We are always with them, but we will oppose the incumbent government, whose expiry date is over," O'Brien, who is also the TMC parliamentary party leader in Rajya Sabha, said.

In the worst terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) men were killed when a suicide bomber rammed his explosives-laden vehicle into a paramilitary convoy. Masood Azhar-led Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) had claimed responsibility for the attack.

Even as India launched airstrikes to target a JeM training camp in Pakistan's Balakot, New Delhi has called Islamabad to dismantle terror groups operating on its territory. A dossier was handed over to Pakistan with "specific details of JeM complicity in Pulwama terror attack and the presence of JeM terror camps and its leadership in Pakistan."

The Ministry of External Affairs conveyed that India expects Pakistan to take immediate and verifiable action against terrorism emanating from territories under its control. Global pressure has also been mounting on Pakistan to act against the perpetrators of the Pulwama attack.

However, intelligence sources gathered evidence that Pakistan has begun erasing the digital footprint with the help of Chinese cyber experts.
