Salman Khan hit-and-run: 7 things you should know about Kamaal Khan

The Salman Khan hit and run case took a new turn when his lawyer added a new aspect to the case by introducing the Kamaal Khan angle into the picture. The lawyer asked about the the fourth and the only witness alive, who was present at the time of the accident.

Previously a well known name in Bollywood, Kamaal has not been in the limelight for several years.

Here are few things you need to know about him:

1) He is a Bollywood singer, songwriter and music producer. Born on 12th March 1972, the singer is now based on Zurich, Switzerland.

2) He was the fourth person who was present in the Toyota Land Crusier with the actor during the 2002 hit-and-run case. and is the only key witness alive. However he was not present in any of the trial sessions of the case, creating speculation about his absence. 

3) He wrote and also produced a track for a Salman Khan movie. The track was "Oh Oh Jaane Jaana" from the movie Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya starring Salman Khan and Kajol. About 10 million copies of this hit song were sold across globe.

4) In 1999, he won the RD Burman Filmfare Award under the Most Promising Category talent. He is the first UK -born singer to have received the award.

5) He has worked with music director AR Rahman for the international hit Slumdog Millionaire.

6) He made his acting debut in the year 2005 with super star Sunny Deol in the movie Jo Bole So Nihaal.  

7) He has produced and lent his voice to many Salman Khan movies like Maine Pyaar Kyu Kiya?, Tere Naam , Hello Brother and Wanted.
