After Hrs has been keeping you updated about the deep bond that’s shared by Ranbir Kapoor’s with his young industrialist buddy Akash Ambani.

Their common interests are football, films and dogs. And though they are years apart in age, they have a friendship that is based on genuine respect for each other. A source says, “Akash is partial when it comes to his love for Ranbir.’’

While a host of B-Town types landed up in St Moritz, Switzerland, to liven up the proceedings at Akash’s pre-wedding bash and let their hair down, the genuine affection came across only in one photograph. The picture of Ranbir kissing Akash on the head. Shloka Mehta, Akash’s young bride-to-be was also spotted in the picture, which spoke for itself.

Back from Switzerland, it will be business as usual for film folk. One hears that the same set of people, Ranbir included, has reserved March 8 to 10 for the wedding festivities in Mumbai.

Malayalam actor Tony Luke (Oozham and Sakhavu) will make his Bollywood debut in Badla.  The actor was already working on another South Indian film when he was offered the Sujoy Ghosh thriller. But it came with a challenge.  He had gained 10 kilos for his Malayalam movie and Sujoy wanted him to knock off that extra flab in just two weeks for him to appear in Badla.

Since the role in the Hindi film was tempting, Tony took up the weight-loss challenge. The actor opted for a strict diet and exercise regime. By the time they began shooting the Hindi flick, the South-based actor had transformed into the lean machine that made him an ideal fit for Badla.

But now, producer Firoze A Nadiadwala has worked things out and the original cast will reprise their roles. Indra Kumar, who’s just got a hit film with Total Dhamaal, will be helming the comic caper. Talking about that, Induji, as he’s fondly called, reveals, “I’m happy that the favourite trio is coming back together. We start the film towards the end of this year. It’s currently being scripted. I was completely cut off from that project for the last three months because I was busy with Total Dhamaal.” Ask him how he envisions part three and he says, “I’m addicted to VFX now, after working on Total Dhamaal. So, it will definitely be bigger and better and involve heavy VFX. I’m expecting people to enjoy the film as much.”
