What’s your go-to wedding outfit? Sari, lehenga, anarkali or something contemporary, like an Indo-Western fusion creation?

Sari, because the outfit should be comfortable, but at the same time, one should not go overboard and outdo the bride.

Are you somebody who likes bright colours or subtle shades? What is your personal style statement like?

Depends on what are you wearing. If there is a Kanjivaram sari, one would choose bright colours, but otherwise, I like pastel shades more.

Are you more into heavy jewellery or light pieces? Would you prefer your grandmother’s kundan set to a sought-after designer’s statement piece?

I like heavy jewellery but not if it’s too chunky because then it becomes uncomfortable. I would prefer my grandmother’s kundan set any day to a new-age piece...

Do you have a huge closet for traditional Indian outfits? What are some of your favourite pieces, both outfit and jewellery, that you own?

Yes, I have a huge collection of Indian wear… Most of them are saris. I buy a lot of local handloom saris when I travel. I’m not that fond of buying jewellery but have a few nice pieces.
