Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that it was unrealistic to believe that Russian authorities had the power to crack down on the Internet ahead of 2012 elections.

"My personal opinion is that I don't think it is possible to limit anything," said Putin, answering questions following his annual parliamentary address.
