Bayern Munch sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan

Perisic was a key member of the Croatian side which finished second at the 2018 Fifa World Cup.

German giants Bayern Munich have announced the signed of Croatia winger Ivan Perisic on a season-long loan deal from Inter Milan on Tuesday. 

The Bundesliga club also have an option to make this transfer a permanent one at the end of the season for 20 million euros. 

Bayern were in desperate need of a wide player as their much-awaited move for Manchester City's Leroy Sane fell through after the player suffered a knee injury during City's clash against Liverpool. 

Perisic was a key member of the Croatian side which finished second at the 2018 Fifa World Cup. 

This will be Ivan's third spell in the Bundesliga, already played for Borussia Dortmund and VfL Wolfsburg between 2011 and 2015.

The 30-year-old will certainly reinforce the Bavarians' wings alongside youngsters like Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman after the departures of the deadly duo of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery at the start of the season.

"Ivan will instantly help us with his top-level experience," said Bayern sports director Hasan Salihamidzic in a statement.

"He is skilled and is flexible upfront. I am certain he will quickly integrate because he knows the Bundesliga and also our coach Niko Kovac."

"Ivan has many years of international experience at the highest level under his belt and he can help us with this. He is technically gifted and versatile in attack." 

Bayern Munch were beaten by German rivals Borussia Dortmund in the German Super Cup last week and will be looking to kick start their Bundesliga campaign against Hertha Berlin on Friday with a win.
