Australia Test skipper Steve Smith has surpassed the record of batting legends Don Bradman and Ricky Ponting to become the highest run getter by an Australian in a four Test series against India.
With Smith scoring 71 in the second innings in Sydney Test, he accumulated a massive 769 runs in the ongoing four matches Test series against India, thus surpassing Ponting's 706 and Bradman's record of 715, News.com.au reported.
