Opener confirms it won’t affect his preparations.

BARODA: Virender Sehwag left the Delhi camp late on Friday night but contrary to speculation, the opener didn’t leave because he was upset about accommodation or because of Munaf Patel’s behaviour. The Delhi skipper confirmed to DNA on Saturday that he was forced to go home because of a medical reason.

“I was not well. I was suffering from migraine. That is why I left Baroda. This will not affect my preparations for the Australia Test series and I will leave for the pre-match camp on Sunday,” Sehwag said.

Sehwag took permission from coach Gary Kirsten and also informed India Test skipper Anil Kumble about his decision to leave after third day’s play.

Earlier, Delhi had filed an official complaint to match referee about Munaf Patel for using “abusive language”. On Friday night, speculation was rife that Sehwag had left Baroda as his innings had come to a premature end and he was angry that Munaf wasn’t behaving himself on the field.

Moreover, there was also talk that he was upset that the Rest of India were was staying in a bigger hotel than Delhi were. However, Sehwag rubbished the rumours.
