The kids of this dancing school are busy preparing for a Musical to pay tribute to music legends like The Beatles

If you are someone who loves Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Shaggy and the Beatles, then this is one show you wouldn't want to miss. For today evening will see the students of Dance Kids, which claims to be the only dance school in India with international affiliations, perform a series of dances (right from the 1930s to the year 2015!) - at the Sophia Bhabha auditorium.

Says Mirabelle da Cruz, who is the director of the dance school, "As a way of celebrating our fifth anniversary, we thought why not come up with a show that pays a tribute to the bygone years? Many kids today think of Beatles only as insects!"

Not that the show will have only the music of the past, for they also have what she calls 'futuristic' dances. “For the most part, this dance will be set to lounge music and techno trance beats. But it will also have Indian influences; in fact, kathak will be a part of that performance as we didn't want to leave out Indian classical dances," she reveals.

And given that this school is affiliated to the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, its sessions have already turned out to be a hit. "Last year we had father and kids dance sessions and now we have entire families getting together every Sunday at Zenzi for a fun dance session," she explains, adding that some of the celeb kids participating are Arti and Kailash Surendranath's daughter Kshiraja and Pheroza Godrej's niece Thea.
