Bomb blast at girls' school in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: A girls' school, which had been receiving threats from militants asking its pupils to wear veils, has been blown up in Pakistan's North West Frontier Province.

The Government Girls Middle School in Ahmed Shah village, which had received several threatening letters, was blown up on Sunday, the Dawn reported on Monday.

This was the second bomb attack on a school in the area in the past two weeks. On November 26, a blast had damaged the Government Primary Girls' School in nearby Sher Bahadur village.

Police have registered a case following a complaint from a tribal elder.\
