Sea View and Income Tax played out a drab 0-0 draw at the Cooperage ground on Saturday

MUMBAI: The match between Sea View and Income Tax ended in a 0-0 draw, with neither side showing the wherewithal to challenge the other.

A horde of lost chances by both the sides meant the scoreboard remained as unexciting as the football on display.

Except a notable few, most players were sluggish in their movement, and the coordination between the midfield and the forwards was completely lacking.

All the scoring chances - and there were very few - happened in the second half. Camillo N and Aboy Rvivah from Income Tax were particularly unlucky in this regard.

A couple of brave attempts from Sea View were also thwarted by the opposition’s defence. Mangesh Erangale, always on the lookout for a chance to sneak one in had a good chance which he couldn’t convert, much to his team’s despair.

Since neither of the teams were really on the offensive, the defences were never quite probed.

The goalkeepers of both teams were up to the mark for whatever came their way and their acrobatic efforts ended up warding off any chances of scoring.
