LONDON: Undeterred by threats from General Musharraf to prevent Nawaz Sharif from landing in Islamabad, the former Prime Minister is preparing for his return to his homeland. "It is full speed ahead for us.
Threats like this will not deter us," a close aide of Sharif told DNA. Sharif had announced to a packed hall in the Dorchester Hotel that he would be landing in Islamabad on 10 September.
Angry at Musharraf's threat to use muscle against Sharif, his camp urged the General to bring it on. "Musharraf will have all his supporters to answer to if he does something like that," said Nadir Chaudhury of the PMLN. Sharif plans to land in Pakistan and proceed to Punjab by road.
Musharraf has threatened to make Islamabad a 'no go' zone on 10 Sept and divert Nawaz's plane.
