BSNL Punjab launches customer care portal

BSNL Punjab on Tuesday launched a customer care portal for online receipt of various types of requests and complaints of customers.

CHANDIGARH: BSNL Punjab on Tuesday launched a customer care portal for online receipt of various types of requests and complaints of customers.

Launched as portal.bsnl.in, this portal will provide a single common web interface for all customers across the entire Punjab telecom circle, said an official release issued here on Tuesday.

The services offered through the portal includes application for shifting of telephone, change of tariff plan, requests for provision withdrawal of call transfer, STD/ISD, application for new broadband connection, request for new CellOne connection, duplicate bills of CellOne, provision/withdrawal of add-on facilities on CellOne connection, change of tariff plan, change of address.

Customer can also request for free phone, universal access number, leased line and lodge complaints regarding basic telephones including WLL, ISDN, broadband, IN services like faults, excess metering complaints etc.

To avail any services through the customer care portal, registration is required after which a user name and password shall be allotted through e-mail, the release said.

When an existing customer asks for any service requiring validation, such as add-on facility on existing phone, he/she would be asked to enter telephone number and unique ID.

The entry is validated by the call center and an activation code (4 digit PIN) would be provided for his/her telephone account. This is a one-time activity and subsequent request can be made through the portal by using this 4 digit PIN by the customer, it said.
