Three Lashkar militants shot dead in J&K

JAMMU: Security forces on Tuesday shot dead three militants of the Pakistan based Lashker-e-Toiba during an encounter in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, a police official said.

A team of Rashtriya Rifle troops and police launched a joint operation in Tanta Draman area of the district in the morning and in the ensuing exchange of fire shot dead three ultras, Doda Senior Superintendent of Police Manohar Singh said.

The slain militants belonged to the LeT, he said adding that their identities could not be ascertained as the encounter was on till last reports.
