LONDON: Pakistan cricket captain Inzamam-ul-Haq became the most-capped player in one-day history when he took the field against England in the third one-day international at Rose Bowl.

Inzamam surpassed Sri Lankan veteran all-rounder Sanath Jayasuriya's record of 364 one-dayers. Inzamam has amassed 11,500 runs to be the second highest run-getter in ODIs behind Sachin Tendulkar, just ahead of Jayasuriya (11,104).

Inzamam will keep the record for two more matches that Pakistan will play against England in the current series but Tendulkar, who has represented India in 363 matches, can claim the record at the tri-series in Kuala Lumpur later this month.

Inzamam has an impressive Test record also, having scored 8,498 runs in 113 matches at an average of 50.88.
