Security checking was today conducted at the ISKCON temple at Juhu after an anonymous call was received saying that some terror suspects had sneaked into its premises to carry out a strike, but it turned out to be a hoax, police said today.

"Police received a phone call today saying that some terror suspects have entered the ISKCON temple complex in Juhu to carry out a terror strike," Additional Police Commissioner Vishwas Nagre Patil told PTI.

"We have conducted thorough verification and checking but have not found anything suspicious -- neither any object or any person. It was a hoax call," he said

Ahead of the Gokulashtami festival on August 22, police are leaving no stone unturned to ensure tight security at the The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) temple, he added.

We have also asked the temple authorities to deploy their private guards and conduct thorough checking of each of every person, Patil said.
