Noted Bhojpuri film producer Sudhakar Pande passed away at a private hospital here today after a brief illness. He was 37 and is survived by wife and four children. Pande was suffering from liver disease, family sources said.

Hailing from Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh, Pande's film Sasura Bada Paisewala starring Manoj Tiwari in 2004 was a huge success marking the revival of the regional film industry.

Pande was also instrumental in launching another Bhojpuri actor Dineshlal Yadav Nirhua in Chalat Musafir Moho Liyo Re.
    
The filmmaker produced four films under his banner Triveni Kala Mandir -- Sasura Bada Paisewala, Daroga babu I Love You, Chalat Musafir Moh Liya Re and Rang De Basanti Chola.

The funeral will take place at Sultanpur. Bhojpuri star Manoj Tiwari has flown with the bereaved family to Sultanpur.

Several Bhojpuri actors and filmmakers like Nagma, Rinku Ghosh and filmmakers like Jagdish Sharma, Sunil Bubna, Kishen Kadariya, Abhay SInha have condoled the death of Pande saying that his demise was a great loss to the Bhojpuri film industry.
