To stop your car there even for a moment is next to impossible! Luckily, there is valet parking. As we reach the entrance, there is a huge blue door which welcomes us. Closer to the entrance, is a long glass display counter selling some snazzy kitchen ware and some imported Italian ingredients.  The interiors look swanky with dark wood tables, lipstick red leather booths and pretty chandeliers filled with fairy lights.

As we walk towards the sitting area we cannot help but notice the innovative fittings on the wall and ceiling.  The centre tables are specially striking as they have a nice water stream flowing through them which can be seen from the glass top. Certainly, this is not your fancy, snobby place but a pure veg fine dining set up.

So set your expectations right from the start and enter a crowded and buzzing upscale restaurant with many noisy families and children around.  They also have a private section upstairs for a bunch of 15 -18 people which can be hired for a substantial amount for private parties.

The ‘ristorante’ offers a mix of vegetarian Mexican and Italian cuisine. We chose to focus on the Italian part of their menu. For starters we tried Jalapeno Cheese Poppers and Stuffed Chillies which were delicious.  The Tacos that we ordered were slightly disappointing, even though the serving was huge, as it made for a soggy mixture of deep fried tacos filled with beans, sour cream and shavings of cheese.

The Burrito was also good, but nothing to rave about. Next we ordered the Quattro Formaggio Pizza. When the pizza arrived we realized that the base of the pizza was indeed delectably thin and almost like a wafer crust.. But so was the layer of cheese on the top which had a combination of mozzarella, blue cheese, cheddar and parmesan, minus tomato sauce. We were hoping for the layers of cheese to be a little more elaborate.

The Mushroom Risotto was better, as we gently transcended into a state of bliss with cheese and cream, and with welcome bits of chewy porcini, shitake and button mushrooms thrown in.  After a hearty meal, it was time to treat the sweet tooth. We were surprised to see almost two full pages of dessert options dedicated to chocolate and its varieties. We opted for a basic Filo Pastry which lived upto its expectation and was rich in stuffing besides being flaky and buttery.

The service was a little slow. We were offered a dish that we had not even ordered for, and the waiter was actually forcing it onto us. He even  told us that ‘this is better than what you had asked for’ We wish for the staff to be a little more well trained.

Constrained by the vegetarian restriction, a lot of dishes here tend to taste similar. The food that we ordered was just about average. Overall a decent place and a decent option to spend a nice evening with your family.
