Watch the hilarious Tamil video that tells you about the art of taking leave

Taking leave from work is a common thing. But the types of leaves people in Chennai take and the reasons given for it have been captured by comedian Badava Gopi in a hilarious ten-minute video. According to Madras Meter which has made the video, taking leave is the favourite past-time of office-goers.

Titled 'The Art of Leave-ing', the video in Tamil (subtitled in English) has been making waves on social media. Badava Gopi takes you through the origins and the nuances of how people going to office typically take leave from work. 

According to Badava Gopi, the origins of taking leave – full day and half  day - stem from the Mahabharatha (yes, you read that right). And the two types of people according to Badava Gopi who will never give you a reason for taking leave are – not surprisingly – college students and household help.
