Prostitution racket busted, six arrested in Jammu

Six persons, including four women, were arrested for allegedly operating a prostitution racket from a house in the Patoli Mangotrain area here, police said today.
 
On a tip-off, a police team raided the house yesterday and arrested the six accused, including a retired veterinary doctor, they said.
 
The racket was being run by Rajni Devi, who had declared her house as the office of Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) Project, they said.
 
Some bottles of liquor and a vehicle of the doctor, identified as Inder Prakash Wazir of Bhaderwah area in Doda district, was also seized during the raid, they added.
 
A case has been registered under Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act at police post Sarwal, police said.
