Nithari case: Court turns down Surendra Kohli's plea for re-examination

Surendra Kohli, prime accused in the Nithari serial killings, today demanded re-examination of a sub-inspector in a related case, but the special CBI court hearing the trial turned down his plea.

The court rejected Kohli's plea for re-examination of Chhotey Lal in the Chhoti Payal case after counsel for the CBI objected to it, the agency's advocate JP Sharma said adding the accused's statement will recorded tomorrow.

Meanwhile, in the related Beena murder case, the prosecution produced sub-inspector Shaeshtra Pal as its witness who said that he collected the remains of the children from a drain near Kothi No 5 at Nithari, Noida and deposited them with the police.
