The election process for induction of 26 members on board of the Karnavati Club has started.

With it, secretary Girish Dani has found himself embroiled in yet another controversy. Natu Patel alias Natu Noble, one of the founder members of the Club, has alleged Dani of using unfair practices to get his favourites on board. However, Dani denied charges and said that elections are being carried out in a fair manner.

Natu Patel along with Pravin Patel of Parth Masala have sent missives to the registrar of companies and complained that management and board of directors of Karnavati Club plans to hold elections, but only on papers. Natu Patel alleged that members have not been informed about the election procedure and schedule.

Patel went on to say that Dani published advertisement in a vernacular newspaper and managed to get hold of all the copies so that it could not reach members of the Club. Moreover, he allegedly asked a few of selective members to fill nomination papers as he wants them on board.

On the other hand, Dani, refuting all allegations said that elections were declared in the Club's last board meeting. "We are following standard procedure of elections and in couple of days we will release statement of number of nomination forms received for election for 26 directors," he said.

The club will organise annual general meeting on December 29 and elections for 26 board of directors will be conducted on December 30, if required. The results will be declared on the same day, Dani said.

Making his position clear, Dani further said that he did not have any reason for doing any wrong as he is already a permanent director on board of the club.

However, Natu Patel claimed that the eight permanent directors are also illegal as the Club has not granted approval of it from the central registrar of companies under section 268 of company's law.
