Head constable commits suicide in Uttar Pradesh

'Head-constable Bhagwan Sahai committed suicide by shooting himself on KJS barrack police line premises as he was suffering from throat cancer,' senior superintendent of police BD Paulson said.

A head-constable who was battling cancer today allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself, police said.

"Head-constable Bhagwan Sahai committed suicide by shooting himself on KJS barrack police line premises as he was suffering from throat cancer," senior superintendent of police BD Paulson said.

Sahai had left behind a suicide note stating that he was ending his life as he was not getting any relief from cancer, the SSP said.

Sahai hailed from Aligarh and was posted in Yamuna pollution unit, he added.
