Cars collide near Mansi circle in Ahmedabad

The incident occurred at 4 am on Sunday; condition of 3 injured is stable.

In a freak accident, three people sustained injuries when the cars they were traveling in collided at the Mansi circle at Vastrapur police station on wee hours on Sunday. The impact of collision was so huge that residents of nearby societies were shaken up from their sleep from the massive noise. The injured include, Jai Sachdev, a resident of Nirav Complex in Naranpura and his friend Vishesh. The duo has been admitted to a private hospital.

As per case details, class XII student, Jai Sachdev, had gone to his friend's house at Vastrapur for combined study. Around 4 am the two friends decided to have tea at a stall near Venus Apartment on Sandesh road. After tea, Jai accompanied by Vishesh went to a nearby petrol pump for refueling his WagonR car. However, when they reached near the  Mansi circle an Ascent car coming from Keshav Bagh collided headon with the WagonR.

Police sources said the impact of collision was so huge that after hitting the WagonR, the Ascent collided with the road divider. On hearing the noise, residents of the area gathered at the spot and informed 108 emergency services. Jai had received injuries on his hand and legs, while Vishesh sustained injuries on his head. Condition of both is stated to be stable. 

There was traffic jam at the road leading to Mansi circle due to the accident and the Vastrapur police had a harrowing time clearing the jam.
