Opposition BJP today accused the ruling BJD headed by Naveen Patnaik of having links with Orissa's most wanted Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda.

"I have no doubt about the link between the ruling BJD and the dreaded Maoist Sabyasachi Panda", BJP state unit president Jual Oram told PTI here over phone from Hinjilikatu in Ganjam district.

He said how it was possible that media persons were able to take interviews of Panda, but the state's inteligence did not know about his whereabouts.

Panda is wanted by police for several crimes.

Dubbing Oram's allegation as "baseless", BJD's secretary general Damodar Rout said it was an attempt to defame the ruling party after it had severed ties with the BJP.
