Ahmedabad police seize French liquor

As if the Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) is not enough, city dwellers are ordering liquor from France for Diwali celebrations. On Saturday night, Vastrapur police conducted raid at Hari Om bungalow at Thaltej and seized seven bottles of French liquor.

Police received a tip off regarding a drop to be made by one Ashok Babu, who has been given order to send the liquor bottles from France by Liju Nayar, a resident of the bungalow near Bhagwati nagar. Police arrested both of them and seized the expensive liquor bottles.

During their raid, police received one more tip off regarding liquor at another house in Hari Om bungalow and arrested one Raj Mahendra Jain with 10 bottles of IMFL.  When they were conducting the raid, police received one more information regarding two watchmen who were drinking liquor near their cabin of a posh apartment. Police raided Mohini tower near Atithi restaurant and arrested Hari Bahadur and Shankar with two bottles of IMFL. With this, Vastrapur police seized 19 bottles of IMFL in one night.
