The Lucknow Police on Friday have recovered bags with dismembered legs and torsos of two female bodies dumped in the city outskirts in Madiaon area, as reported by Indian Express.

On Thursday, Lucknow Police had found severed heads of two girls off the Lucknow-Hardoi by-pass road in Manpur area in Sitapur district, packed in a trolley bag. They suspect that the body parts belong to the same girls whose heads were recovered and are on the lookout for complaints related to two missing girls.

“Prima facie, we suspect that the heads and these bodies could be the same. We are getting it ascertained by medical examination. We have not been informed of any complaints related to two girls going missing in districts in the entire Lucknow Range,” said Additional SP, Trans-Gomti Jai Prakash.

While the team of Sitapur Police has arrived in Lucknow to coordinate the investigation, police are also examining CCTV footages of the gate of dental college where the gunny bag was found. The locals reported to the police that they initially spotted gunny bag containing four dismembered legs in Ghaila area, followed by two travel bags containing two female torsos 500 metres away from the spot.

Aliganj Circle Officer Pratap Gopendra claims that the bodies seem to be that of girls in their late 20s and are about three days old.

A case has been registered in Manpur police station against unidentified persons for murder and destruction of evidence.
