I almost quit acting: Sandra Bullock

Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock has revealed that she was so devastated by her divorce that she thought she would quit acting.
The Oscar-winning star said that she was left ‘permanently broken’ after discovering her husband Jesse James, who had been cheating on her with tattoo model Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee just days after she picked up the Best Actress Oscar in 2010 for The Blind Side.

Bullock unveiled the depth of her pain. “I was perfectly content to be permanently broken. I honestly didn’t think I was in a place where I wanted to work or wanted to step out of where I was. I wasn’t prepared,” she said.

Bullock said that she was persuaded to return to acting by director Stephen Daldry, who wanted her to appear opposite Tom Hanks in the drama Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close.
