Delhi Metro's Blue Line came on a halt on Wednesday evening, after a Metro train operator saw a man sitting next to the tracks between Noida 15 and 16 Sector station.
A little after 8:30 pm on Wednesday, a train operator raised an alarm after which Metros from both stations were halted. Then, a team of officers started their rescue operation for the man who was sighted near the tracks.
"My colleague and I, bearing a torch, walked towards the Sector 16 station from Sector 15, while a team of officers started walking from the other side but did not see anyone," said LN Moji, a constable with the CISF.
Train services were halted for more than 20 minutes as daily commuters and curious onlookers kept increasing at both stations.
"I wanted to go home early for my son's birthday but this delay has ruined my plans," said Priyal Choudhary, a daily commuter.
Authorities confirmed that nobody was found. A DMRC official said, "At around 8.45 pm, it was reported that a person was seen on the tracks, because of which? the train operations between Noida sector 15 and 16 were slowed down for caution."
