Four assailants attack Faridabad woman councilor

Faridabad Councilor Rajbala was attacked this morning by four armed assailants at her office premises here, police said. The assailants, identified as Jeet alias Jitender, Rahul, Yogendra and Bhola, all residents of Faridpur, have been booked on Rajbala's complaint.

The incident occured when Rajbala had gone to her office in Sector 46, along with her domestic servant to get the premises cleaned, police said.

Around 11 am someone knocked at the door and when Rajbala answered the door, the assailants opened fire at her. She managed to shut the door just in time and escaped unhurt. The assailants sabotaged the office premises and the Ward 19 councilor's car which was parked outside. 

Rajbala's husband and former councilor Kailash Bansal along with his brother Mahavir have been accused and imprisoned in connection with a case of murder of two Faridpur residents-- Ravinder Fauji and Narendra.
