Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor (now Sonam K Ahuja), Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania starrer Veere Di wedding hit the theatres on June 1 and has opened to a fantastic response from the audience and the critics alike. While the audience already knew that it's going to be one stylish and glamourous film, the movie does ride high on the emotion quotient as well.
As far as the attires and the styling goes, all the four leading ladies are dressed to perfection in every single frame of the film. Since the premise is against the wedding of Kareena's character Kalindi, no points for guessing the reason beind the elaborate dresses worn by her Veeres in the film as well.
Ace designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla's efforsts behind making the ladies look breathtakingly beautiful, has definitely paid off and how. Now, apart from the language, clothes and content of the film, another thing that's grabbing the eyeballs is the gorgeous lehenga worn by Kareena in her wedding scene just before the end of the film.
The off-shoulder, embellished yellow lehenga by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla has become an instant hit among the ladies. We're completely drooling over the look which is perfect for a summer day wedding. Though, the wedding lehenga does look pretty amazing, not many are aware of the fact that it's actually a vintage garment that was made abour 25 years ago.
This trivia was revealed by Sandeep Khosla on social media. He had shared an Insta story, in which he mentioned, "Veere's wedding garment is actually a vintage garment of Abu Sandeep. It's something that we made 25 years ago. It was lying in our coffers...Rhea came to the factory and we started digging out a whole trunk and and taking out old pieces. So then, we just reinvented it. The skirt remains the same. The blouse remains pretty much the same. Of course, it was altered to Kareena's size. Then we created a dupatta and just modernised it slightly. At the wedding time (in the movie), everybody is in AJSK vintage, which is great fun.'"
